for me, finding the perfect daily notebook has always been a balancing act.
it can’t be too proper (sorry, hardcovers); scribbled notes or unkempt handwriting just feel comparatively rowdy. but it can’t be too casual either; it still needs to be an orderly, fit and inspiring home for structured to-do lists and tidy script.
that said, I think I’ve finally perfected my approach; two notebooks. one lined for clean handwriting, orderly lists, and ballpoint pens. a second unlined for meandering brainstorms, scrawled notes, and whichever colored marker catches my eye.
