until about a year ago, i could never work or study in silence. whether i was writing a paper or studying for a quiz, you’d always find me with a pair of headphones (often just weekly radio hits) to drown out the sounds of the crowded library or coffee shop.
but as the world suddenly became more quiet and that crowded library became a thing of the past, it’s funny how easy it became to be comfortable with working in silence.
allowing your ideas, creativity, and problem solving to control your brain feels much easier when the volume’s turned down.
