I recently had a birthday (hurray!). it was a wonderful day, filled with nature and scrumptious food, but it also lead to a redefining thought.
really, we only have one birthday - the day you’re born. every other day on that same date going forward signifies a trip around the sun. in Spanish, the term “happy birthday” isn’t used, but rather “feliz cumpleaños”, which translated literally, means “happy turning of years”.
thinking of birthdays as revolutions, as indicators of an actual cosmic trip, is enlightening, exciting, and inspiring.
