a friend recently told me offhand that she just wasn’t a creative person.
she said it as we sat in her well-decorated apartment, in the kitchen where she cooks without recipes after long days at a corporate communications job with a big bank where her writing is read by thousands.
to me, that’s a lot of creating.
the only thing that makes someone not creative is their definition of creativity. our world and our work would be better if we all wrote for ourselves a definition of creativity that had a place for us in it.
